Enter the Dragon

My dad's pride & joy-the Dragon Fruit, it took him years of watering & fertilizing to finally reach this final stage where the plant has finally started to bear fruit. The texture of this exotic fruit is a bit like a kiwi & a watermelon but unlike the kiwi, the meat is never sour, but is refreshing to taste like the watermelon. I was ordered to take pictures of these babies for his bragging rights I guess.

What's up Tom?

What in the world has happened to Tom Cruise??? I used to think that he was an ok guy, till some weeks back when he went public with his romance with Katie Holmes, yes Tom we know you're so in love with Katie, enough already with the PDA!! Then yesterday we see him mouthing off the "ultimate" nice guy Matt Lauer-host of the Today show, to the point of calling Matt "glib". Now what the heck was his problem??? He came out of the interview acting like he was a mister know-it-all, he even stated in the interview "No, you see. Here's the problem. You don't know the history of psychiatry. I do." Wow, I didn't know Tom Cruise was a expert in psychiatry now, I guess he's been into role playing/acting for so long he probably now thinks he's a doctor of Psychiatry, or maybe he's practicing for a future role in one of his films. And the nerve of him to chastise poor Matt Lauer! Tom, Tom, Tom, you need some help dude!

Future Star

It finally dawned on me that in the 3 or 4 times I've been to L.A., I have never walked down Hollywood Blvd. to see Grauman's Chinese Theater and to check out the famous hand & foot prints and the stars on Hollywoods Walk of Fame. So I couldn't let this trip go by without visiting this very famous landmark. There were numerous folks dressed up in character like Michael Jackson, Lucille Ball, Gandalf the Grey to mention a few and you could have your picture taken with them in exchange for little tip. I also saw the Kodak Theater where they have the Oscar Awards, I did not know that it was almost just next door to Grauman's. we even saw a live shoot for a TV game show happening inside the huge complex which also housed the Hollywood & Highland mall. Had no choice but to do a little shopping hahaha!!!

My star at the Hollywood Walk of Fame is ready & waiting for me!

"Desperate" at Universal

The set of Wisteria Lane from the hit TV show Desperate Housewives

No trip to Los Angeles would be complete without a visit to the famed Universal Studios. It has been almost 10 years since I was last here and it's really grown so much. Some familiar attractions were there like the 45 minute studio tour which I found to be more extensive than previous tours in the past (I was so excited to see the set of Desperate Housewives), they also still had Back to the Future and the very wet Jurassic Park ride. But me & my mom just loved the Shrek in 4D, we were so totally blown away by the whole concept of the attraction.
